International Volunteer Program (IVP)

This program is not to be confused with Habitat’s Global Village program, which provides short-term two-week volunteer trips. The International Volunteer Program entails a volunteer commitment of several months.

Have you dreamed of traveling to another country, going beyond the tourist sites and making a meaningful contribution to society? Do you want to wake up in the morning knowing that by the end of the day, you will have been part of the movement to end poverty housing? Have you thought about dedicating six or more months of your professional knowledge and skills to making a difference in the world?

Welcome to Habitat for Humanity International’s International Volunteer Program! Since its beginning, Habitat for Humanity has relied on the expertise, commitment and spirit of volunteers to fuel its mission. With this program, you have an opportunity to join our global ministry and serve for an extended period with one of our international offices. This program is designed to:

• Engage people in the international movement for simple, decent housing.

• Enhance Habitat for Humanity organizations around the world.

• Empower volunteers to have a meaningful experience with Habitat for Humanity.
